This week has seen warm weather across the UK, with today expected to be recorded as the warmest day of the year so far.Temperatures are predicted to hit 21C today, making the UK hotter than Barcelona in Spain.
Barcelona reached just 16C in comparison, with a clear and dry day but cooler than here in Britain. 21C is a whole 10C above the UK average for this time of year and what is usually expected in March.

BBC Weather forecaster Ben Rich said: “It is another beautiful spring day with lengthy sunshine and the vast majority will stay dry. “There is just a small chance of one or two showers popping up in north east Scotland and maybe in the eastern counties of England. “It will not be as breezy as it was on Tuesday across western areas but it is every bit as warm.” However, by the end of next week temperatures are predicted to plummet again with even some snow possibly falling.
