manchestereveningnews.co.ukWorsley, at around 5.45pm on Monday (January 25). After parking up at Worsley Leisure Centre to answer his phone, a stranger opened the car's passenger door and threatened the driver with a 12 inch knife.
The man, who was wearing all dark clothing and gloves, demanded that the driver get out of the car and after a 'verbal altercation', police said the victim tried to escape by reversing his car.
While he was reversing, the attacker slashed his left arm with the knife, leaving a deep wound.The offender is then believed to have fled in the direction of a wooded area, close to the leisure centre.Following the assault, the victim required surgery but the injuries are not believed to be life changing.No arrests have been made and police are.
