Tampon Taxi makes 100th lockdown mission for women stuck at home
dailyrecord.co.ukPerth has been operating the ‘Tampon Taxi’, which sees households in Perth and Kinross ask for either someone to come round and drop-off sanitary items at their doorstop or be sent the supplies by post.It's proud to have just done its 100th delivery of free period products since lockdown made it harder to buy these supplies for many people.Fiona's van-tastic salon planJenni Keenan, team leader at PKAVS Minority Communities Hub, told the PA that between these 100 deliveries, supplying community larders and foodbanks, and the period products Give or Take box in Perth, she estimates the service has given away around 3500 products so far, saving those who need it most around £10,500.The scheme promotes opening up the discussion on the necessity.
