philanthropist James Anderson during the last few weeks convinced him to hand over £3million of his cash to help the country’s 42 clubs.

And last week another donor, who wants to remain anonymous, came to her with an offer of £1.25million.Nicky, 35, said the current pandemic could have broken the game in this country and being able to help has made her incredibly proud.

She said: “I can’t believe it. Many of the discussions took place over Zoom while I was still in my pyjamas and my four-year-old daughter was charging about in the background.

This is the worst crisis to hit Britain since World War II. I’m five months pregnant and managed to negotiate a massive deal.
