Scots shepherdess gets to keep £50k boat washed up on shore near her home

A shepherdess’s ship has come in after a £50,000 boat lost at sea for almost a year washed up on a shoreline near her home – and she was allowed to keep it.The vessel was missing, presumed sunk, after being swept overboard from a freight ship.But it appeared months later near Rhoda Munro’s island home.Rhoda, 43, from Ulva, near Mull, saw the 25ft boat covered with debris from its long sea journey as she sailed to a nearby isle to gather sheep.Checks with the coastguard revealed Rhoda’s find was a vessel which had been swept overboard in a storm while being transported from a Danish shipyard to a customer in Greenland in April 2019.And, much to her surprise, Rhoda was allowed to keep the boat because insurers had already paid out for it.Asid
