Scots rules on vaccine passports ahead of nightclubs and indoor venues reopening

Nicola Sturgeon today announced a further lifting of Omicron restrictions during an address to the Scottish Parliament. Scots will be allowed to attend nightclubs once again, while social distancing and table service rules in hospitality venues will be removed.

Capacity limits will also be removed from large indoor events. Non-professional contact sports have also been given the green light to resume.

All of the changes announced by the First Minister will take effect across Scotland from Monday, January 24. Speaking to MSPs this afternoon, Sturgeon said that Scotland has “turned the corner” on the Omicron wave.
