The creative mum, who runs a sewing business, moved into her new house during lockdown - but her 21-year-old daughter's new bedroom was left a building site after being rewired.
Using brick slips, blue paint and up-cycled furniture, Shirley transformed it into a beautiful boutique hotel-inspired bedroom bursting with colour.
She unveiled the stunning finished room to her daughter Sarah, which made for an emotional surprise. Shirley told money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk : "I have four amazing daughters and two fantastic sons, and all but one have grown up and left.
