Police are hunting for a teenager who sexually assaulted a cyclist on a popular bike route road. A 60-year-old woman was cycling along Sheriffmuir Road, near to the Sheriffmuir Inn, in Dunblane, around 7.30pm last Tuesday when she was attacked.
She was approached by a young man - aged between 16 and 18 - who was also on a bike.He then inappropriately touched her before fleeing the scene.He is described as being white, with yellowish teeth and braces.At the time of the attack he was wearing a cycle helmet, sunglasses and a bright neon orange jacket, and was riding a white road bike.Police are urging anyone who may have noticed the cyclist in the area to get in touch.
Constable Jenna Alexander of Stirling Police Station said: “The area is a well-used cycle route and so I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the area between 7pm and 8pm last Tuesday evening who may have seen the male cyclist in the area or who recognises the description of him.“If you have any information that may assist police enquiries, then please Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference number 1983 of Wednesday, 15 June, 2022 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
