Scots "took the knee" on doorsteps across the country tonight in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. UK group Stand Up to Racism organised the socially distanced protest for 6pm on Wednesday in response to the death of George Floyd in America's Minneapolis.
Scots were asked to take the protest stance made famous by American football star Colin Kaepernick to oppose the police brutality movement.Among those taking part was Ayrshire Police Chief Superintendent Faroque Hussain and fellow officers.
