People have spoken of their shock following the tragedy. Police launched a murder investigation after the 17-year-old was stabbed to death on Peveril Road last night (Wednesday).
The teenager was taken to hospital with a stab wound to his chest. He died from his injuries a short time later, police said.
Police said they believe it was a 'targeted attack'. Following the incident - at around 8.15pm - officers were called to nearby Stowell Street to reports that another boy had been stabbed in the arm.
