Rockcliffe residents take part in fun Easter egg decorating competition

A neighbourhood support network recently set up in Rockcliffe to bring people together for mutual support during the Covid-19 pandemic was used for a cheerier purpose over the Easter weekend.Everyone was invited to enter an egg painting competition and for those who did not have access to painting materials or were short of eggs, rocks or more ingenious substitutes and decorations were permitted.Jane Syme, an artist living in the village, was delighted to be the judge and Easter eggs were given as prizes for the child, adult and most ingenious decoration.In the children’s class of the competition, Ellie Pickthall came first with Tallulah Rennie second and Nat Weston third.In the adults’ class Jackie Newbold, Alison Forrest and Millie Carson
