Margarita Ibrahimoff (born October 26, 1956), known professionally as Rita Wilson, is an American actress, singer, songwriter, and producer. Her film appearances include Volunteers (1985), Sleepless in Seattle (1993), Now and Then (1995), Jingle All the Way (1996), The Story of Us (1999), Runaway Bride (1999), It's Complicated (2009), and Larry Crowne (2011), and she appeared in the television series The Good Wife and Girls. Wilson has performed on Broadway, and has produced several films, including My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002). As a singer/songwriter, Wilson has released the albums AM/FM, Rita Wilson, Bigger Picture, and Halfway to Home. In March 2019, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Rita Wilson Says COVID-19 Face Mask Debate "Doesn't Make Sense"

Rita Wilson says wearing a face mask during a pandemic should be as normal and unquestioned as brushing one's teeth twice a day. "Why wouldn't you wear a mask if it's good for your health?" she asks. "It doesn't make sense." Wilson, who spoke to Gayle King on Friday's CBS This Morning, was one of the first Hollywood figures diagnosed with COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, back in March, along with husband Tom Hanks.

In April, the actress chatted with King and revealed her symptoms including extreme fatigue, body aches, irritability, discomfort, loss of taste and smell, and a 102-degree fever.
