Rick Ross conducted some slightly unusual sync licensing negotiations via a Billboard interview last week, saying that he’d clear his track ‘BMF’ for use in 50 Cent’s in-development TV series ‘Black Mafia Family’, but only if his fellow rapper did some social media promo for his other business ventures.50 Cent’s latest TV production project is a drug trafficking drama inspired by the true story of the Flenory brothers and the US-wide drug distribution network they built, an enterprise that became known as the black mafia family.
