RICHARD Hammond has confirmed his future on The Grand Tour amid the shows 'real peril and discomfort'. Richard, 52, has worked on the Amazon Prime Video series since 2016 alongside Jeremy Clarkson and James May.

Later this month, the trio will be back on screens with the shows new special, A Scandi Flick, which sees them drive rally cars across a remote part of Norway in extreme winter weather conditions.

Speaking to The Sun Online and other media, he said: "There is always a bit where you realise 'this is great doing this TV show and everything but right now I'm trying to sleep in a tent pitched at 45 degrees in a ditch full of cockroaches in Bolivia or I'm in a scorching hot desert or I'm trying to sleep in a shed somewhere in Scandinavia'. "Of course there are, there are real experiences, real fear, just real discomfort, and discomfort tends to be the one that gets you."
