Resurfacing work on popular south Manchester road to begin at start of June as part of two week project

A south Manchester road will be closed off for two weeks as part of the council's ongoing £100m highways investment programme.

Resurfacing work will take place over different areas of Withington Road during the two-week project. The section of Withington Road between Yarburgh Street and Moss Lane West in Moss Side will be closed off from Thursday (June 4) until the following Friday (June 12).

From June 13, the road between Manley Road and Yarburgh Street in Whalley Range will be closed until June 21. Work will be carried out seven days per week from 7am to 5pm Monday - Saturday and 9am until 5pm on Sundays.

Signed diversions will be in place for traffic. Residential access will be maintained, however vehicular access will not be possible
