Prince William and Kate Middleton have held their first audience since the start of lockdown as they greeted the President and First Lady of Ukraine.The royal couple, both 38, welcomed President Volodymyr Zelensky, 42, and his wife Olena, also 42, to Buckingham Palace, sitting down to enjoy a conversation.
It is the first royal event to take place at the Queen's London residency since the start of lockdown back in March. William and Kate and Volodymyr and Olena abided by social distancing guidelines for the meeting but did not wear face coverings for their appointment.
They did not shake hands with their guests, but did stand up to meet their visitors, ensuring they kept a safe distance from them.
