Police release e-fit of person they want to speak to after man was attacked in Oldham in broad daylight

Police investigating an assault in Oldham have released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to. Officers were called to reports that a man had been assaulted on Greenacres Road at around 1.45pm on Thursday, April 23.

The victim, a 45-year-old man, was attacked by a man in a semi-wooded area at the back of the Cairo Mill building. The victim was taken to hospital with a face injury.

He has since been discharged. No arrests have been made and police are investigating. The attacker is described as being Asian, in his late teens, approximately 6ft 2in tall and of a slim build with a goatee.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black tracksuit. Police have now released a computer-generated image in a bid to put a name to the face.
