Man arrested after 'sophisticated' cannabis farm discovered in house

A man has been arrested after police uncovered a 'sophisticated' cannabis farm inside a house in Oldham. Officers executed an arrest warrant at a property on Elm Road in Limeside on Wednesday morning (May 20).

The warrant was linked to an ongoing investigation into the theft of a vehicle. Dozens of cannabis plants were found growing in the converted loft space of the house.

The 35 plants were still in the early stages of production, police said. A 42-year-old man was arrested for the theft offence and for production of cannabis.
