Police name boy, 10, who died in tragedy at Loch Lubnaig near Callander

A 10-year-old boy found dead after a tragic accident at Loch Lubnaig has been named as Michael Heeps.Emergency crews raced to the beauty spot near Callander just after 5.30pm on Wednesday following reports of someone struggling in the water.A search lasted more than four hours but police confirmed the boy's death this morning.

Micheal was from High Valleyfield in Fife.His family has paid tribute to him in a statement, saying: "He was a much loved son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin."Police say Michael's death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.
