Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a trio attempted to steal a cash machine from a Co-op in Stockport. The three burglars forced entry through the shutter of the shop on Fulmar Drive, in Offerton.

They then attempted to steal a cash machine from inside the supermarket, but were unsuccessful. The men then fled from the scene in a silver VW T-Cross, with the registration number MP19 WHE.
