Police launch manhunt and murder investigation after 'senseless' shooting of teenage girl in Blackburn

manchestereveningnews.co.ukPolice in Lancashire have launched a murder investigation and a manhunt after the death of a young woman in Blackburn. Officers were called to reports of gunshots in the King Street area of the town at around 3pm this afternoon.
LancsLive reported a woman was found unresponsive at the scene and was pronounced dead a short time later. Police believe the victim is a 19-year-old from the Blackburn area - however, formal identification is yet to take place.
A post-mortem has not been carried out but it is thought she died from a gunshot wound. Following the incident it was reported that a vehicle - thought to be a light-coloured, possibly metallic green, Toyota Avensis – was seen leaving the scene.
