Police hunt woman after broad daylight mugging in Aberdeen

mugging in Aberdeen. At around 9am on Thursday a 27-year-old woman was walking in the city's Ashgrove Road when another woman pounced from behind, threatened the victim and stole her handbag.

The woman did not need medical treatment, but was left 'very distressed' following the early morning attack. The suspect is described as white, around five foot inches tall with a gaunt appearance and slim build.

She has auburn coloured hair, tied in a plait. At the time of the mugging she was wearing trousers. Officers are scouring CCTV footage from in and around the area for any additional information.
