Peter Andre's emotional reunion with parents in Australia for first time since pandemic

Peter Andre got emotional live on Good Morning Britain today as he was finally reunited with his family in Australia.The singer has been desperate to get over to his homeland to see his loved ones and hasn't been able to for two years due to Covid-19 travel restrictions.Back in January, Peter took it upon himself to contact the Australian embassy in the hopes that they would let him fly to see his mum Thea, who currently "is not very well".The star said that he was so desperate to cuddle his mum and dad Thea and Savvas, who are both in their mid-eighties.And now that has finally happened as he, his son Junior and brother Mike have finally made the journey down under.The Andre family joined Ben Shepherd and Kate Garraway on Good Morning Britain to speak of the joy of being reunited at last.When asked about the reunion, Peter, who was joined on screen by Junior, Mike and sister Debbie, said it was quite emotional.He said: "Tears everywhere, incredible, mum is not well and dad is 89, he’s still rocking but mum, she’s suffering quite a bit.

It means a lot to us to be home and have this time with mum. Debbie (his sister) will tell u what it’s like for us to bet here, for us it’s amazing."It's been two years since Peter saw his family and Australia and he said he said he was so grateful to be there.He also touched upon the trauma felt by many across the world over the past couple of years, as well as right now.Peter referenced Kate Garraway's experiences with husband Derek, who has been battling the aggressive long-term affects of a particularly brutal form of Covid which left him extremely ill and hospitalised for more than a year.Talking to Kate Garraway, Peter said: "You’ve been through so much Kate, when we say we can’t
