Caroline Framke Chief TV CriticMaud (Glenda Jackson) can’t trust her own mind to be honest with her, and its rapid deterioration isn’t just frustrating; it’s downright infuriating.At first, she’s able to keep her head in one piece by stuffing her pockets with scribbled notes (“Don’t forget to lock up,” “Elizabeth, Salvation Army, 10 o’clock”). Soon enough, though, they become reminders of the fact that she can’t remember much of anything at all.
