Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has expressed his concern about his old club persisting with veteran strikers Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani.
Ronaldo, who recently turned 37, returned to Old Trafford from Juventus last August after United hijacked his expected move to cross-city rivals Manchester City.
Cavani, meanwhile, recently celebrated his 35th birthday and is out of contract at the end of the season. Although Ronaldo remains highly talented and capable of spearheading United's attack - as proven by his tally of 15 goals this season - Scholes believes United need to strengthen their attacking options, insisting it is not United's style to be relying on two strikers who have a combined age of over 70.
The former United man told BT Sport : " When you bring in a manager, he might get this group of players playing really well and all of a sudden it does become a lot easier. "But, I still think there's recruitment [problems].
