Paisley Opera singer pays tribute to NHS staff for emergency eye care during lockdown

Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our personalised newsletter.A member of the Paisley Opera has thanked NHS staff by organising an operatic rendition of Easter Hymn using Zoom.Elaine Loch, who has a degenerative eye condition called myopic macular disease, wanted to say thank you to staff after they were able to provide her with emergency eye care at the Gartnavel during lockdown.Elaine requires regular eye injections for her sight and unfortunately due to lockdown was worried that her next treatment session would be cancelled.However, thanks to the staff at Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital, even though her clinic had been postponed due to Covid-19, they were able to fast track her to Gartnavel’s urgent.
