arrested after over £10,000 worth of fake banknotes were seized in West Lothian. Police raided two properties on search warrants on Tuesday and Wednesday.
One property was in South Middleton in Uphall while the second was in Owen Stone Street in nearby Bathgate. A 37-year-old man was arrested following the raids.
He was released pending further enquiries. Police reminded Scots that holding or passing counterfeit notes that are known to be fake is a criminal offence.
Officers also warned of the signs to look out for when identifying fake cash. Anyone who suspects they may have been handed counterfeit notes or is aware of activity around fake money is being urged to get in touch with police.
