Scottish SPCA. The cubs were roaming the streets in Inverkeithing without their mother, on February 6. A local spotted the otters while taking their bins out in the Fife town and alerted the animal welfare charity.
SSPCA chiefs think the mother might have been involved in a road accident, leaving her cubs orphaned. The female cub has been named Inver and and the male, Forth.
Both are believed to be around three to four-months-old. Charity representatives say they wouldn't have survived long without their mother's protection.
The cubs are now in the care of the National Wildlife Rescue Centre.Centre manager Steven Gray said, “The cubs are around three to four-months-old.
