'Not everyone wants to go for tapas': Sports bar accused of 'attracting a bad crowd' granted Ancoats licence despite opposition

Second City has been given the green light to trade from its new home on Cotton Street, a few yards from their previous premises on Blossom Street.

The venue has proven popular with punters since opening in Cutting Room Square in 2016, showing live football and other sporting events such as boxing, UFC, NFL and WWE.

The new licence application - to allows the bar to sell alcohol from 11am to 11pm Sunday to Thursday, and 11am to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays - prompted opposition from residents living above
