Joanne Anderson was taking her daughter Emily to a hospital appointment when they stopped off at a McDonald's in Birkenhead.

While Emily, six, sat down at a table, Joanne went to the till to collect their order. As she approached the counter, she noticed a girl stood in front of her in the queue.

Joanne, 42, said the girl didn't have enough money to buy what she wanted so she handed her 50p. By this point, Emily, who easily becomes emotional due to her hypothyroidism medication, approached the tills crying. READ MORE: Gogglebox viewers spot
