Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, is stepping in to replace Meghan Markle as patron of the National Theatre, after being left 'miffed' when she initially missed out on the role.The Duchess of Sussex initially took on the prestigious role back in 2019, but gave it up when she and Prince Harry stepped down from being senior members of the royal family.
Now her mother-in-law Camilla, will take her place, with 74 year old said to be "delighted" by the decision, which has yet to be formally announced.
A source told The Sunday Times of Camilla: "She really wanted it. You can sign up at the top of the page. OK! approached Camilla's representatives for comment. After Meghan was made patron in 2019, she made one public appearance at the theatre and visited privately back in March 2020.
