Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Marcus Rashford sent a thank you message to Manchester United after bringing up his 300th appearance for the club. Rashford reached the landmark after coming off the bench during United’s 3-2 win over Norwich on Saturday.
The 24-year-old reaches the landmark after making his first-team debut for the club back in 2016. United marked the occasion with a special tweet on Sunday to congratulate the England international on his achievement.
The club’s message claimed Rashford as “one of our own”, citing his journey through the club’s academy. The forward has struggled for form this season, and has seen his opportunities in the side become more limited. The reduction in playing time has led Rashford to consider his future at the club, with his contract running until next year, although United do have the option of an extra year.
