Manchester United are close to finalising a deal for Barcelona defender Marc Jurado. Right-back Jurado, 16, is understood to have rejected a professional contract at Barca and is expected to be named among United's academy intake for next season.
Sources in Spain say Jurado rejected a three-year contract offer from Barcelona and United will only have to pay Barcelona a small compensation fee for him.
United have already fought off competition from Arsenal and Tottenham to agree a £300,000 deal with Sunderland for striker Joe Hugill, also 16.
