Former Aberdeen striker Adam Rooney has signed for National League side Solihull Moors on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 31-year-old left Pittodrie for Salford City after a successful spell in the North-east where he notched 87 goals in 197 appearances.He was able to make the move because there is no transfer window for National League clubs.
He grabbed nine goals in 38 games for the Greater Manchester side owned by former Manchester United legends Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Phil Neville, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville.
City have had a mediocre season in League Two where they currently sit tenth.Rooney was delighted to sign a contract until 2020 having lived in the area during a spell at Birmingham City.
