Manchester Arena bombing atrocity remains 'live', with the head of GMP saying 'there are people we would still wish to speak to'.

Ian Hopkins, chief constable of Greater Manchester Police, said more than 100 investigators remain attached to Operation Manteline, the codename given to the counter-terror inquiry.

As Hashem Abedi, the bomber's brother, 23, starts a life sentence with a minimum of 55 years, Mr Hopkins said the operation wouldn't be shut down. "It will start to get scaled back, but it is not something that we are going to shut down any time soon," he told the Manchester Evening News .
