Gary Neville and Rio Ferdinand have been criticised by Dutch legend Ruud Gullit for piling the pressure on Erik ten Hag following his appointment as Manchester United manager.
Ten Hag was officially announced as United's new boss on Thursday after months of speculation. The 52-year-old will join the club at the end of the season on a three-year deal with the option to extend his stay by a further year.
Neville recently declared that Ten Hag is the 'man of the moment' while Ferdinand issued a six-point plan in order to return the club to their previous glories.
According to Gullit, this 'pressure' is unwarranted.
