Manchester United have been told they would be “lucky” to have Antonio Conte as their manager. The Italian’s Tottenham side managed to derail Liverpool’s title hopes with a 1-1 draw at Anfield on Saturday, just hours after United’s 4-0 humiliation at Brighton.
Conte was briefly of interest to United following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking in November. He ultimately joined Spurs, after United decided against his appointment, and now has them vying for a Champions League spot.
United, meanwhile, are in danger of dropping out of the Europa League places following their latest defeat. Over the weekend, former defender Gary Neville tweeted that he believes the Tottenham manager’s style wouldn't be “the right fit for United”.
