Man suffers life-threatening injury at a wake after being stabbed in the neck

A man was stabbed in the neck at a wake. The victim suffered a serious, life threatening injury after being knifed outside a house in Lonsight.

He was attending a wake at the property when he was attacked during an argument with another man. But he was saved after a friend drove him to Manchester Royal Infirmary where surgeons carried out an emergency oepration.

Police later arrested a suspect and recovered a revolver. In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 10.30pm on Friday 29 May 2020 a 36-year-old man presented himself at hospital with serious injuries. "Following medical treatment, he is now in a stable condition. "Early enquiries suggest that a stabbing took place on Saxthorpe Walk in Manchester.
