Man stabbed during attack in Glasgow as police launch probe into incident

A man has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Glasgow. Police say that the 39-year-old was left with serious injuries following the incident on Henrietta Street in the Scotstoun area at around 2.30pm on Wednesday, 13 July.

He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Authorities say the man is in a serious but not life-threatening condition.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the attack to get in contact and assist with their enquires. Police Scotland have also asked anyone who may have recorded dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time of the stabbing to come forward.

Detective Constable William Birse of Drumchapel Police Station said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have any information to come forward.“We would be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or any other private footage from the area.“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 1981 of 13 July, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.” Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - Sign up to our daily newsletter here.
