A man forced his way into a property in Perth and harassed his ex partner when he was already subject to an anti-social behaviour order.Kenneth James Reid (49) was fined at Perth Sheriff Court last week after admitting barging into the house in the city’s Toll House Gardens just last month.Fiscal depute Elizabeth Hodgson told the court Reid’s mother lived at the address and his ex partner had gone to visit her when she spotted him coming down the road.Ms Hodgson said it was clear to the woman that Reid was “intoxicated” as he moved towards her and he started shouting and swearing at her then pushed at a door to try to get inside the property.“He managed to push the door open and gain entry,” she said.Ms Hodgson said Reid then threatened the woman once he was inside.

She previously told the court Reid was already the subject of an anti-social behaviour order when he committed the offence.Reid, of Grampian Court, Perth, pled guilty to forcing his way into the property, repeatedly shouting and swearing, adopting an aggressive demeanour and uttering threats of violence towards his ex partner on March 13 this year.Sheriff Gillian Wade remarked as she sentenced Reid she had a “concern” a report put before her by social workers seemed to indicate they were unwilling to make the time to put him under a period of supervision for his offending. She fined Reid £200 and advised him it was “essential” he try and get help to address his drinking of his own volition.
