Kyle Walker trained with Manchester City on Tuesday ahead of their Champions League game with Real Madrid but John Stones did not.
Walker has not featured for the Blues since suffering an ankle injury in the second leg of the Atletico game three weeks ago, and while he has trained with the team since Pep Guardiola has not been able to confirm whether he will be fit to play again this season.
Stones was taken off after feeling discomfort in the win over Brighton, and while he returned to the starting lineup to face Real Madrid he did not last a half and did not travel with the squad to Leeds on Saturday.
Walker’s involvement is a boost ahead of the trip to the Bernabeu - where City are hoping to defend a 4-3 lead to book their place in a second successive Champions League final - although he may still be short of sharpness.
