Man charged with burglary and driving offences after being caught by police driving down wrong side of the M60

A man has been charged with burglary and a number of driving and theft offences in Stockport. Abdul Rahman Nasir, 19, of Longford Place, Manchester, has been charged with burglary, attempted burglary, two counts of theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving.

Police received reports of a burglary in Heaton Norris last Friday (January 14), where two vehicles were stolen. The same day, police spotted a vehicle driving dangerously at the Portwood Roundabout in Stockport. Police attempted to pull the vehicle over, before it made off from officers.

The vehicle then proceeded to drive down the wrong carriageway of the M60. A 19-year-old man, later identified as Nasir, was subsequently arrested.
