A 43-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of attempted sexual communication with a child has been released on bail. On Thursday (August 18), police were called to Gorsey Drive in Salford after a man was detained by a group of people.

Officers attended the scene and a man was arrested. He has since been released on bail and investigations continue. A spokesperson for GMP said: “Police attended an incident on Gorsey Drive shortly before 3:45pm on Thursday 18 August 2022, where a group had detained a man.

Officers attended, and a 43-year-old-man was arrested on suspicion of attempted sexual communication with child. "The man has since been released on bail today (Saturday 20 August 2022).
