Man arrested after being found slumped over steering wheel of car in Bolton

in Farnworth. Police were called to Albert Road at around 5am this morning to reports of a man slumped over his steering wheel.

The caller was concerned for the man’s welfare, a spokesman for GMP said. Officers claim that when they arrived, the man was “very drunk” and had fallen asleep.He was breathalysed and allegedly blew a reading of 69 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, with the legal limit in England being 35.Police claim the driver was also a provisional license holder and had no insurance on the car.
