Man hospitalised after being stabbed during disturbance on Glasgow street

Glasgow street last night. We told how cops raced to Maxwell Road in the city's Pollokshields area at around 5.40pm amid reports of a man being seriously assaulted.

Officers taped off the entrance to a block of flats as police stood guard outside. It has now emerged a 28-year-old was 'knifed' and taken to hospital for his injuries.They are described as 'non-life threatening'.Police say enquiries are ongoing and have appealed for witnesses.A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received a report around 5.40pm on Thursday, 15 October of a man injured in a disturbance on Maxwell Road in Glasgow."The 28-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment."His injuries are described as non-life threatening."Enquiries.
