From the drug addict burglar who fell on top of sleeping five-year-old boy during break-in -  to bully that threatened to make the mother of his child eat used toilet brush after biting her and forcing his fingers down her throat.

The region's courts have given out hefty prison sentences for all manner of crimes in May. With the coronavirus outbreak and recent UK lockdown announcement by the Prime Minister, judges were are having to make difficult decisions to decide which cases are heard and which are not.

But things are starting to get back to normal at court and despite current circumstances, prison sentences have still been handed out and people have been locked up for their offences.
