They were introduced by her step-dad Hollywood legend Al Pacino. Leo starred in 2000 drama The Beach. At the beginning of their relationship, many were quick to point out the 23-year age gap between them, but over the years, Camila has stated that it's not an issue. “There’s so many relationships in Hollywood — and in the history of the world — where people have large age gaps,” Camila told the Los Angeles Times in 2019.
