Several people stopped what they were doing on Ripponden Road, close to the junction with Coleridge Road, shortly after 5.30pm on Thursday evening after a man in his 50s collapsed.

A number of people came to his aid, helping to direct traffic, performing CPR, and calling for help. READ MORE: Person pulled from sea in early hours in Blackpool Kyle Ashworth is one of the people who stopped to help, after he saw the man on the floor when he drove past.
