EastEnders legend June Brown has tragically passed away at the age of 95, it was announced on Monday 4 April. The BBC One soap confirmed the sad news in a statement, which read: "We are deeply saddened to announce that our beloved June Brown, OBE, MBE sadly passed away last night." June was best known for playing Dot Cotton on the soap, a role she undertook for an incredible 35 years.
However, this wasn't the actress' first soap role as she enjoyed a short stint in Coronation Street as Mrs. Parsons from 1970 until 1971.

In the brief clip, it shows June's character with Ena Sharples – played by Violet Carson – giving her son Tony – played by David Hill – music lessons.The video also includes Sally Dynevor – who plays Sally Metcalfe on the cobbles – wishing June a happy 90th birthday before revealing that the soap had a "big surprise" for her.
