Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Malky Mackay. The Staggies have kicked off the search for a new gaffer after John Hughes decided to step down after securing Premiership safety.

Mackay is the bookies favourite and is looking for a return to the dugout after spending four and a half years as SFA performance director before leaving last November amid Hampden cost cutting due to covid.

The former Cardiff and Norwich City boss is tipped to link up with County coach Don Cowie – who he signed as a player for Watford and Wigan – but Celtic coach Kennedy is also in the running.Kennedy is keen on moving in to management after 10 games as interim boss at Parkhead in the wake of Neil Lennon’s departure in February.
